About the inn

Matsui Bettei Nijo Castle Nishi is a family villa (Kyoto City designated traditional house, Kyomachiya, 200 years old) that has lived in Kyoto since the Heian period, and is currently being stayed by guests from all over the world. The vases and tableware installed are works by local Kyoto potters. You can use it freely, and if you like it, you can order it. Recommended for those who want to experience a real Kyoto townhouse that is different from ordinary hotels and inns.
Located on the west side of Nijo Castle, it is a convenient area where the local atmosphere of the "Jurakudai" site, which was once built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, remains. 7 minutes walk to Nijo subway station and supermarket. 9 minutes walk to JR Nijo station. It is a sunny house facing south.

Total size / 69.64㎡ (1F + 2F) Capacity / 4 people, 1 group 1 whole private room type * Bedroom can be divided into 2 by partition

Guest reviews

"I'm going to Kyoto, so I want to stay in a tasteful inn!" I thought, "I went to this house. It was said that the Machiya, which was over 200 years old, was renovated, but the facilities around the heating and water were well-equipped, so I was able to spend my time without any inconvenience. It's more wonderful than you can see in the picture!
